Jamie Whitmore is no stranger to a tough challenge. You don't become the 2007 XTERRA USA Champion, 2004 XTERRA World Champion and 2003/04 XTERRA European champion without a good fight.
On Friday, February 29, 2008 Jamie started the toughest challenge of her life as she entered the University of California San Francisco Medical Center where she's undergoing tests for a tumor found on her left pelvis.
Doctors anticipate Jamie can return to her house in the Sacramento region later this week as she waits the test results. Always the optimist, Jamie stated, "I've entered the challenge of my life and I will finish strong."
